Lower Face & Mouth

The lower face and mouth are some of the most expressive and emotional areas of the face — they move constantly when we speak, smile, and react. Over time, natural ageing, repeated muscle movement, and volume changes can lead to visible shifts in this area. These might include marionette lines, downturned mouth corners, or softening around the jawline.

At That Face Place, our goal isn’t to freeze movement or erase character — it’s to gently restore balance and structure so that your face reflects how vibrant and well you actually feel.

Common Concerns for the Lower Face & Mouth

Clients often visit us with concerns such as:

  • Downturned corners of the mouth that create a tired or sad appearance
  • Marionette lines (creases that run from the corners of the mouth toward the chin)
  • Volume loss through the lower cheeks or around the mouth
  • Softening or sagging of the jawline
  • Imbalance between the lower and upper face

These changes often happen gradually, and for many people, it’s less about “looking older” and more about feeling like their face no longer reflects their energy or confidence.

Lower Face & Mouth Treatment Considerations

Treating the lower face requires a delicate balance of support and flexibility especially around such expressive areas. Depending on your concerns, your nurse may recommend a plan designed to:

  • Soften the appearance of marionette lines
  • Gently lift the corners of the mouth
  • Improve contour between the lower face and jawline
  • Support skin firmness and overall facial harmony

Any treatment recommendations are made only after a thorough facial assessment and always tailored to your anatomy and desired outcome.
